    Straight Answers

The smallest room with the most trades in it

A bathroom stacks plumbing, electrical, waterproofing, tile, and finish carpentry into a few square feet, in that order, with almost no room for error between them. That is why sequencing matters more than square footage here, and why a bathroom done by five separate people you hired yourself usually takes three times as long as it should.

Waterproofing is the part nobody sees

It is also the part that fails. Pans, curbs, niches, and wall transitions get waterproofed to spec and verified before tile, because a leak behind finished tile means tearing out the room you just paid for. If a contractor cannot tell you exactly how they waterproof, that is the answer.

    Accessibility and aging in place

Zero-threshold entries, proper blocking for grab bars set before drywall, comfort-height fixtures, and turning radius that actually works with a walker or a chair. Done at remodel time this costs a fraction of what retrofitting it later does, and it is worth doing even if nobody needs it yet.

    FAQ

    Questions We Get Asked

How long does a bathroom conversion take?

Most conversions run one to three weeks on site depending on scope, fixture lead times, and inspection scheduling. The written scope includes the timeline, and where possible we phase so you are not left without a working bathroom.

Can you convert a tub to a walk-in shower?

Yes, that is one of the most common jobs we do. It usually involves plumbing relocation, a new pan or curbless build, waterproofing, and tile. It gets priced as one scope, not discovered piece by piece.

Do you do accessibility and aging-in-place work?

Yes. Zero-threshold entries, grab-bar blocking, comfort-height fixtures, and slip-rated surfaces. Priced in the same scope, not as an upsell later.

    What decides the price?

Layout changes, whether plumbing moves, the waterproofing scope, and finish selections. Moving a drain costs more than replacing a fixture, and you should know which one your project needs before anyone quotes you.

This team did a beautiful job remodeling our shower/closet/laundryroom after a flood. They even added a laundry pass through at my request which makes it simple to deposit our laundry from our bathroom right into the laundry room.
