    Straight Answers

    A whole-home remodel is a sequencing problem

Any crew can hang drywall. Getting demo, framing, plumbing, electrical, inspection, insulation, tile, and finish stacked in the right order without dead weeks between them is the actual skill, and it is what decides your completion date. One schedule, one contractor holding it, no trade waiting on another to call back.

Older homes across DFW hide the same few surprises

Open the walls on a house built before the eighties and the usual finds are cast iron or galvanized supply lines, a panel with no room left in it, and framing that was never quite square. None of that is unusual and none of it is a crisis, but it belongs in the budget as a contingency before demo instead of as a phone call after.

Phasing decides whether you can stay in the house

Living through a remodel is possible when the scope is phased around a working kitchen or bathroom and dust barriers are built, not taped up as an afterthought. For a full gut it is usually cheaper and faster to be out. We tell you which one your project is before you sign, not after the water is off.

    FAQ

    Questions We Get Asked

How long does a whole-home remodel take?

Typically three to six months on site, driven by structural scope, permitting, and material lead times. The written schedule breaks it into phases so you can see what is happening in any given week.

Can we live in the house during the remodel?

Usually yes, depending on scope. Phasing, dust barriers, and keeping a working kitchen or bathroom online are planned up front. For a whole-home gut it is often cheaper and faster to be out.

Do you handle design, engineering, and permits?

Yes. Structural work gets engineered and permitted, not eyeballed. We work with your designer or ours, and we carry the plan through the city or county review so you are not chasing submittals.

How do you protect the parts of the house you are not touching?

Floor protection, sealed dust barriers, and daily cleanup are in the scope, not favors. Anything that stays gets covered before demo starts, and the crew works from a defined path in and out.

Great experience working with Remodel Contracting on my kitchen. Jeff and team were always quick to respond with any questions or changes I had. They communicated with me daily on the progress or if there were going to be any delays. They made sure every detail was complete and that I was happy before they left the worksite with the finished product.

This team did a beautiful job remodeling our shower/closet/laundryroom after a flood. They even added a laundry pass through at my request which makes it simple to deposit our laundry from our bathroom right into the laundry room.
